What’s next for public lands?

Thanks to you, we've avoided one crisis. This past month, tens of thousands of you picked up the phone to help stop the largest sale of public lands in modern US history. Sure enough, Congress removed the sell-off provision from the budget bill.

The final budget law rolls back historic climate progress, mandates oil and gas lease sales on public lands, and puts millions of Americans in harm's way. What's next? We keep going.

The future of our public lands will come to a head in Alaska. Right now, the Department of Interior is trying to strip protections for 13 million acres of irreplaceable landscapes in the Western Arctic. History shows this is a fight we can win, but only when we show up in numbers. Got a few minutes? Submit a public comment by August 4. Take Action
